    • 281 totally free surgeries of the cataract.

Except for 2006 Dr. Joch and his associates has been visiting Peshawar twice a year to perform at least hundred surgeries per visit.  The last visit of the team was in April 2007, during this visit 892 patients were examined in the OPD while one hundred and eighteen (117) reconstructive surgeries were performed at Al-Kuwait Teaching Hospital, Peshawar. These surgeries gave new life to those who would have been bared from taking an active part in life due to the stigma of the deformations for the rest of their lives. The total amount of free medical assistance provided during this visit at present rate comes to around thirty eight thousand Euro.

On the last day of the visit the management of Al-Kuwait teaching hospital arranged a farewell function. During this function Dr Joch shared his experiences with the medical staff of the hospital while the president of  Leprosy TB and Blindness Relief association of Pakistan presented souvenirs to the visiting team.

The team's next visit is scheduled for September 2007 for which all the patients are already booked that shows the severity of the problem.
